Georgetown in Sixth After First Day of Rutherford Intercollegiate

WASHINGTON – Following the first day of play at the Rutherford Intercollegiate, the Georgetown University Hoyas sit in sixth place carding a 36-hole score of +17, 585. The two-day tournament is being played at the par-71 7,171-yard Penn State Blue Course.
 

HOYA RESULTS

  • Freshman Jacob Finard is currently the top Hoya scorer sitting tied for 14th with scores of 75 and 69.

  • Senior Will O'Neill is currently tied for 19th with scores of 72 and 73.

  • Senior Brad Whitaker is tied for 31st with scores of 73 and 74.

  • Freshman Charlie Creamean is tied for 41st with scores of 74 and 75.

  • Junior David Rogers is in 77th with scores of 82 and 75. 

 

TOURNAMENT LEADERS

  • Michigan State is leading the field in first (+1, 569), Penn State is in second place (+5, 573) and St. Mary's is in third (+6, 574) to round out the top three.

  • The Hoyas are currently five shots behind Eastern Michigan (+12, 580) and are one shot ahead of Maryland (+18,586).
     

Coming Up

Following the Rutherford Intercollegiate, the Hoyas will travel to Pine Mountain, Georgia to compete in the BIG EAST Championship April 25-27.
