WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University field hockey team will travel to Lynchburg, Virginia on Friday, September 15, to take on No. 12 Liberty University at 3 p.m. The Blue & Gray will then return to Washington to host Long Island University (LIU) on Sunday, September 17, at noon.

Hoya Scouting Report
- The Hoyas are coming off a 1-1 weekend which saw them fall to Lock Haven 3-2 and then they captured an overtime victory on Sunday against Saint Francis.
- Emma Van Der Veen leads the Hoyas in points this season with ten off of three goals and four assists.
- Reigning BIG EAST Defensive Player of The Year Ciara Weets has 38 saves this season in and was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for her performances last weekend.
- Vivienne Trumpbour leads the Blue & Gray in game-winning goals this season after notching her second overtime winner against Saint Francis.
NO.12 Liberty Scouting Report
- Liberty is 3-2 this season after capturing their third win over Queens University on Sunday.
- Daniella Rhodes leads the Flames this season in points with 12. She has registered five goals and two assists in five games.
- Goalkeeper Azul Iritxity Irigoyen has started all five games in the cage for the Flames and has accumulated 11 saves thus far.
- In 2021, Liberty posted a 20-3 record on their way to the National Championship game where they fell to Northwestern, 2-0.
- Head Coach Nikki Parsley-Blocker enters her sixth season at the helm and has a 64-31 overall record.
LIU Scouting Report
- LIU is 2-4 on the season and is coming off a 3-2 win over Quinnipiac on Sunday.
- Four different Sharks are tied for first on the team in points with six.
- Maggie Streichert has logged 360 minutes between the pipes and has accumulated 19 saves in six games.
- Head Coach Raenee Savin enters her 20th season at the helm of the Sharks. She notched her 200th career win last season in a 3-0 shutout of Sacred Heart.
