ON THE RECORD
"We had a wonderful day of racing by our Men & Women today. I felt both teams competed well for a Mid-September race and season opener for several of our top runners. Both teams finishing as runner up and placing several scorers in the top 10 speaks volumes and bodes well for the rest of the year. It was great being able to participate in this meet seeing so many familiar faces showing up for Coach Helmer. I was proud to see our Hoya Men & Women compete at such a high level this early in the season." – Director of Cross Country/Track & Field
Alton McKenzie
"The women did a solid job executing the race plan for today. We didn't quite have enough to win in a quality field, and we were a bit rusty here and there, but overall, we can take away a lot of helpful lessons and a bit of momentum into the middle of the season." – Cross Country/Track & Field Assistant Coach
Mitchell Baker
"I thought we got excellent performances from
Parker Stokes,
Sean Laidlaw and
Quinn Nicholson. All of them finished in the top 10 individually.
Lucas Guerra also had a very solid cross country open in a Georgetown uniform. I saw a lot of other things that we need to work on and those will be addressed before we line up again at Lehigh in 2 weeks." - Head Men's Cross Country Coach
Brandon Bonsey
