Hoyas Face No. 4/4 UConn on Sunday

HARTFORD – The Georgetown University women's basketball team will travel to Hartford, Connecticut to take on the fourth ranked UConn Huskies on Sunday in a BIG EAST Conference matchup at XL Center. The opening tip is slated for 4 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on SportsNet New York.

  • Georgetown (8-8, 1-6 BIG EAST) fell 72-48 to the Butler University Bulldogs in a home matchup at McDonough Arena on Wednesday.
  • Junior captain Kelsey Ransom led the way with 16 points to go along with a team high six rebounds and four steals as well as three assists. Ransom continued her streak of recording at least one steal in all 16 games this season and has done so in 21-straight performances dating back to last season.
  • Senior captain Graceann Bennett tallied 14 points and five rebounds as the other Hoya in double figures.
