WASHINGTON – Georgetown softball travels to Tucson, Arizona this weekend as it is set to play a series of three games in the Bear Down Fiesta with the University of Arizona and the University of San Diego. On Friday, March 31, the Hoyas will take on Arizona at 6 p.m. ET. On Saturday, April 1, Georgetown will play San Diego at 12 p.m. ET, and Arizona again at 5 p.m. ET.

About the Hoyas

• The Blue & Gray (8-20) defeated George Washington University on Wednesday afternoon with a late run putting the Hoyas up 1-0. 
• Graduate student Brooke Plonka had an impressive day in the circle tallying 13 strikeouts and getting the win.
• Cameron Kondo leads the team batting .284 with eight home runs, 23 hits and 14 runs so far this season.
• Mae Forshey is batting .267 at the plate this season totalling 23 hits, 11 runs, six doubles and two home runs.
• Kayla Dunn has been solid for the Hoyas in the last few outings and has 29 strikeouts over nine appearances in the circle.
• Plonka leads the Hoya pitchers with 86 strikeouts over 19 appearances and a 4.18 ERA.

About the Wildcats

• Arizona is 20-12 overall and 3-6 in conference play.
• Olivia DiNardo leads the Wildcats with 39 hits over her 32 appearances this year and is batting .448 at the plate. The freshman has 21 runs, eight doubles and two home runs for 18 RBI.
• Carlie Scupin and Allie Skaggs lead the Wildcats with nine home runs apiece.
• Devyn Netz has nine wins to her name from the circle and boasts a 3.33 ERA with 69 strikeouts in 20 appearances this season.
• Arizona is coming off of a 4-6 loss to No. 9 Washington on Sunday after losing the first two games of the series as well.

About the Toreros

• San Diego is 13-19-1 overall.
• Izzy Owen leads the Toreros with 40 hits over 33 starts this season. The redshirt senior is batting .396 at the plate with 20 runs and eight doubles for 14 RBI.
• Joecellia Roberts leads the Toreros with three home runs and 21 RBI.
• Courtney Rose has been solid from the mound, boasting a 2.35 ERA with 45 strikeouts in 15 appearances this season.
