ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Most recently, the Hoyas have garnered BIG EAST accolades as Maggie Donahue and Parker Stokes were named the Women's and Men's Track Athlete of the Week, respectively, on Wednesday.
- Donahue earned the honor after winning the 10,000-meter run at the Virginia Challenge in a time that ranks first in the BIG EAST and 60th nationally.
- Stokes' steeplechase time was good enough for second at the Rick Erdmann Twilight Meet and ranks second in the league and seventh in the country.
- The Hoyas will compete in the women's 400-meter hurdles before taking on Distance Night with competitors in the steeplechase, women's 5,000-meter run and the men's 10,000-meter run.
- Friday's action will start with the men's and women's long jump, both scheduled for noon starts on the infield. The Hoyas will then lace up for the women's and men's Championship of America Distance Medley Relay (DMR) before closing the day with 4x400-meter relay heats.
- Saturday will start with the Championship of America Women's 4x1,500-meter run followed by the COA Men's 4xMile. Following individual events in the men's 110-meter hurdles and women's triple jump, the Blue & Gray will compete in the 4x400-meter finals.
THE HOYAS & PENN RELAYS
- The Georgetown men total 26 COA wins in its illustrious history, ranging from the sprint relays through the distance relays. The Hoyas have totaled an impressive six DMR wheels in addition to 11 4x800-meter relay wins.
- A consistent threat to win in the distance relays, the Hoyas showed versatility the last time out, bringing home a wheel in the men's sprint medley relay (SMR) and the 4x800-meter relay. It was the fifth SMR in program history.
- The Georgetown women have previously won the Penn Relays COA DMR three times, most recently in 2016.
- GU totals seven women's COA wheels with the other four coming from the women's 4x800-meter run, an event the Blue & Gray garnered again in 2016.
