WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's basketball team has announced the addition of graduate transfer Mya Bembry to its 2023-24 roster. The West Orange, New Jersey native comes to the Hilltop from Seton Hall University where she played for three seasons for the Pirates and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business administration.

- Appeared in 91 games in her career at The Hall with 68 starts to her credit while averaging 4.4 ppg and 5.6 rpg.
- Also tallied 92 steals, 54 blocks and 100 assists in her career while managing three double-doubles.
- As a senior, Bembry appeared in all 34 games, making 31 starts and averaged 4.6 points and 5.4 rebounds in 29.0 minutes per game
- She tied for 18th in the BIG EAST in rebounds per game and 27th in minutes played.
- In Bembry's junior campaign, played in 36 games with 29 starts while averaging 4.3 ppg and 6.2 rpg and ranking 11th in the BIG EAST Conference in rebounds per game
- A two-time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
- Bembry began her collegiate career at Penn State playing in all 30 games as a freshman and making three starts.
- The graduate of West Orange High School left as the all-time leading scorer and rebounder in school history with 1,718 career points and 1,068 career rebounds.
- She led her high school team to a 76-16 record over her final three seasons, earning three-straight Essex County Player of the Year and Team MVP awards.
- Bembry guided her high school team to a conference championship as a sophomore, sectional championship as a junior, and the Essex County Tournament championship as a senior while being named first team All-Conference and second team All-State as both a junior and senior
- Bembry was ranked as the No. 120 player in the Class of 2019 by Blue Star Basketball Report and the No. 48 player at her position by College Girls Basketball Report
- She was also a three-year letterwinner on the soccer team and a member of the High Honor Roll while being heavily involved in Run/Walk for Nikhil and Help Henry Beat Cancer Project.
