WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's field hockey team returns to action with a pair of games this weekend, traveling to face Virginia Commonwealth on Friday and Richmond on Saturday.

About the Hoyas
- Georgetown opened the 2023 season with a pair of setbacks to Davidson and Appalachian State last weekend.
- Sophie Towne led the Hoyas with a goal and two assists, earning a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
- Ellie Johnson and Lois Lekawael both added goals on the weekend while Julia Hall and Caroline Suko had assists.

- Sunday's action against the Spiders begins at noon.
- Richmond is 1-1 on the year following a 1-0 overtime loss to Longwood in the season opener and 3-0 shutout against James Madison.
- Kaitlyn Csensits has two goals on the year while Stevie Drum has notched a goal and an assist.
- In goal, Kristen Rake has an 0.61 GAA with nine saves and a .900 save percentage.
