WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's basketball team released its 2023-24 schedule, presented by MedStar Health, on Thursday afternoon. All home contests will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports (BEDN).
2023-24 Nonconference Highlights
- The Hoyas will host five nonconference games and head out on the road for six contests including a pair of games in California over Thanksgiving weekend.
- Georgetown will open the season on Nov. 7 against Maryland Eastern Shore, facing the Hawks after a two-year hiatus. The squads met during both the 2018-19 and 2019-20 campaigns with Georgetown winning both contests.
- After playing Temple the past two seasons, GU will once again travel to Philadelphia for a matchup on November 9. Last season the Hoyas fell to the Owls at the Liacouras Center.
- Ivy League-foe Brown is next as the Hoyas welcome the Bears before hosting Fairleigh Dickinson on November 17. Last year, GU downed the Knights in a 74-60 victory in New Jersey.
- The Blue & Gray will play Pepperdine the day after Thanksgiving in Malibu, and then will take on Cal State Fullerton on Sunday, November 26 on the West Coast.
- Local-rival Howard will come to McDonough Arena on November 30 in a Thursday-night matchup, before GU heads out on the road to take on Northwestern and Colgate on December 3 and 5, respectively.
- ACC-member Wake Forest will close out Georgetown's nonconference home slate on December 17 as the Demon Deacons come to McDonough Arena for a 2 p.m. matchup.
- A trip to Head Coach Tasha Butts' home state of Georgia will conclude the nonconference schedule as GU travels to Kennesaw State for a game on December 28.
