WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's golf team opens the fall portion of the season at the William & Mary Invittaional, a two-day, three-round tournament hosted by the College of William & Mary on Monday and Tuesday, September 11-12. It serves as the first of four fall tournaments for the Hoyas. The tournament will be held at the Kingsmill Resort on a par-72, 6,200-yard course.

- The tournament will begin on Monday, September 11 with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. with 36 holes planned for the day.
- On Tuesday, there will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Hoya Lineup: Megan Gornley, Vilda Westh Blanc, Claire Chen, Morgan Smith, Angela Lee, Georgia Ruffolo (ind.), Jiaying "Jasmine" Lai (ind.)
- Megan Gormley brings the most experience to the program as the captain has played 66 rounds as a Hoya with a career stroke average of 74.07. She finished the 2022-23 season with 10 rounds at or below par and turned in seven top-10 performances, including a pair of runner-up finishes.
- Vilda Westh Blanc is a freshman who advanced to the semifinals of the 2023 Women's Western Junior Championship, falling to the eventual champion. Carding a 10-under par, she won the 2021 Patty Berg Junior Championship.
- Claire Chen is a freshman on the Hoya squad who has twice qualified for the U.S. Girls' Junior and took second at the AJGA Adidas Junior All-Star.
- Morgan Smith successfully defended her title at the 2023 New England Women's Amateur, qualifying for the 2023 Women's Amateur held at the Bel Air Country Club.
- Angela Lee is in her second season as a Hoya, closing the 2022-23 season with a 76.41 (1,681 strokes/22 rounds) stroke average during her freshman season. The sophomore opened her collegiate career with a 1-under 70 a season ago at the Golfweek Fall Challenge. She recorded her best showing with a 14th-place finish at the 2022 Princeton Invitational, held at the Springdale Golf Club.
- Georgia Ruffolo, a transfer from Wake Forest, tied for seventh at the 2022 Grandover Classic, hosted by UNC, as an individual for the Demon Deacons.
- Jiaying Lai is another newcomer to the Hoyas. The freshman was the 2022-23 International Junior Golf Academy Player of the Year and a four-time International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) winner.

- The course is 3,058 yards on the front nine and 3,142 yards on the back nine.
