WASHINGTON – The RV Georgetown University women's soccer team will travel to Providence, Rhode Island for a Thursday evening matchup with the Friars. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium.

ABOUT THE HOYAS

• Georgetown (8-2-4, 4-1-1 BE) is coming off a hard fought 1-0 defeat to the DePaul Blue Demons on Sunday afternoon.
• GU outshot DePaul 13-2 on Sunday, putting seven of the 13 on frame while also holding the edge in the corner kick battle (11-2).
• Eliza Turner earned a spot on the Top Drawer Soccer Midseason National Player Rankings coming in at #25. Turner was a Preseason All-BIG EAST selection and has been named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week once as well as earning a nod to the honor roll recently.
• Lizzie Heller was tabbed as the #20 ranked freshman in the country according to Top Drawer Soccer's Midseason Top 100 Freshman rankings. The Atlanta, Georgia native has been sensational this season for GU tallying one goal and four assists.
• Georgetown currently ranks 10th nationally in shots per game (19.79), fifth in the nation in corner kicks per game (8.14), 8th in GAA (0.500), 15th in shots on goal per game (9.86) and is 10th in shutout percentage (0.643).

ABOUT PROVIDENCE

• Providence (5-7-1, 2-3-0 BE) enters Thursday's contest after a 1-0 loss to Creighton on Sunday. The Friars are on a three-game losing streak after dropping games to UConn, Seton Hall and Creighton.
• Kacey Lawrence paces the Friar offense with 12 points on the season. Lawrence has four goals and four assists to her credit leading the team in both categories.
• Three different keepers have seen action in goal for Providence this season. Emma Bodmer has started all 13 games this season playing a cumulative 705 minutes across those contests. Bodmer boasts a 1.53 GAA and has made 30 saves on the year.

WHAT LIES AHEAD
The Blue & Gray will return to action on Sunday, October 20 for senior day at Shaw Field. GU will host Marquette and will celebrate the eight graduating seniors.
