WASHINGTON – Senior Maja Lardner was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week and junior defender Ellen Carter was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday. GU went 2-0 in BIG EAST action last week picking up a 1-0 win over Providence and a 4-0 win over Marquette.

• Lardner was unstoppable in a 2-0 week for GU tallying three goals in two matches.
• The Dallas, Texas native scored the winner against Providence and netted two in the first half against Marquette on Sunday.
• To cap off a seven-point week, Lardner added an assist against Marquette en route to a five-point performance on Sunday.
• This is Lardner's fourth weekly conference honor of the season and the third time she has been named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week.

• Carter helped anchor the Hoya back line en route to two shutouts this week.
• The junior tallied her second assist of the season against Marquette on Sunday.
• Carter has played a vital role in the Hoya back line as GU leads the conference in shutouts with 11 on the season.
