WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's basketball team will hit the road for another BIG EAST Conference matchup against the No. 15/14 UConn Huskies on Friday evening. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Connecticut.

• Georgetown is sitting at 16-9 overall and 6-8 in BIG EAST Conference play.
• GU is coming off of a 62-47 loss to Villanova on Tuesday at home.
• Junior Ariel Jenkins led the way as the lone Hoya in double figures with 13 points in the contest as well as a squad-best eight rebounds.
• The Blue & Gray shot 37.7% (20-53) from the field, and Georgetown allowed 46.3% (25-54) shooting by the Wildcats.

• Graduate student Graceann Bennett is second on the team with 9.8 ppg (23rd in the league) as well as a team-best 7.4 rpg which ranks ninth in the BIG EAST.
• Junior Brianna Scott rounds out the top three with 8.7 ppg, 5.9 rpg (14th in the BIG EAST) and 1.4 blocks per game, fourth in the conference.
• The Hoyas are first in the league and ranked 8th in the nation in scoring defense averaging 54.2 ppg.

About the Huskies

• UConn is 21-5 overall and 13-0 in the league after an 86-40 win at Xavier on Wednesday evening.
• Paige Bueckers had 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists, Aaliyah Edwards added 16 points and 10 rebounds for her 12th double-double of the season.
• Bueckers leads UConn with 20.0 points per game this season. She is also the Huskies' leader in steals (56) and blocks (28) and ranks second in assists (95). Edwards is averaging a career-high 17.8 points per game while adding a team-high 9.0 rebounds per game.
• UConn is ranked 15th in the AP Poll and 14th in the WBCA/USA Today Coaches Poll.
