WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University track & field program finished competition at the Raleigh Relays on Saturday. The meet was held at the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility on the campus of NC State University, with the Hoyas competing in 19 events over two days.
Joshua Paige took second place in the men's 200m recording the third-fastest finish in the event in program history, while the Hoyas had top-10 finishes in four events.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Joshua Paige took second overall in the men's 200m, running a blazing 20.87. The time is the third-best finish by a Hoya in the event in program history.
- Also in the men's 200m, Nicholas Givan took 17th with a new personal best time of 21.64.
- Georgetown came in fifth place in the women's 4x100m relay. Hoyas Jadah Fitzgerald, Rebecca Ochan, Piper Rodgers and Abbie Huey ran a mark of 45.83 to secure first place in the heat.
- In the women's 4x400m relay, Ochan, Grace Smiechowski, Huey and Kaira Brown ran 3:42.98 to put Georgetown in fifth place overall.
- Smiechowski took 7th place overall in the women's 400m hurdles. Her 1:01.62 finish was also best in her heat.
- Givan took 12th place in the men's 400m hurdles, running a time of 52.59. Joining him is teammate Sean Hewitt, who took 15th place with a time of 53.00.
- Anya Hirschfeld took 47th in the women's 800m with a time of 2:10.14. DeAnna Martin also took 69th (2:11.47) while Sierra Dinneen finished in 99th (2:13.60).
- Matthew Griffin came in 73rd in a field of 172 in the men's 800m, running 1:53.29.
- Rodgers ran a time of 24.67 in the women's 200m for 25th place. Huey also took 42nd with a mark of 25.04, and Fitzgerald took 45th with a 25.08 finish.
- Georgetown took 16th in the men's 4x400m relay, with Hoyas Hewitt, Jabril El-Amin, Micah McKenzie and Griffin running a mark of 3:17.93.
- Roberto Terrell Jr. took 16th place in the men's long jump, recording 6.92m. Christopher Pitt also jumped 6.54m for 31st place, and Noah Toole took 42nd with 6.12m.
OF NOTE
- Paige's 20.87 time in the men's 200m is the third-best finish by a Hoya in the event in program history, just behind Paige's own second-best Hoya finish (20.85) at the 2023 BIG EAST Outdoor Championships.

The Hoyas will travel again for a series of meets next weekend. On April 5th and 6th, Georgetown will compete in the South Florida Invitational in Tampa, Florida. On April 6th and 7th, the Hoyas will head to Fairfax, Virginia for the Dalton E. Banks Invitational, held on the campus of George Mason University.
