WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University track & field program will travel for two meets this weekend, including the Wake Forest Invitational on April 19 and the Virginia Challenge on April 19-20.
The Wake Forest Invitational will be hosted in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and the Virginia Challenge will be hosted in Charlottesville, Virginia.

- The Hoyas will first take the track on Friday at 7:47 AM in Winston-Salem and 3:50 PM in Charlottesville. Saturday's action in Charlottesville will begin at 2:15 PM.
ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Last weekend, the Hoyas competed at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational in Gainesville, Florida, and at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Fairfax, Virginia. Several Hoyas set new personal records and recorded nationally-ranked times.
- Melissa Riggins took third place in the 1,500m at the Bryan Clay Invitational. With a new personal-best of 4:07.96, Riggins' time currently tops the national collegiate rankings.
- In the men's 1,500m, Abel Teffra took second in his heat and ninth place overall with a new personal-best mark of 3:38.25.
- For their performances, Riggins and Teffra were named BIG EAST Track Athletes of the Week. It is the first time each athlete earned the award this outdoor season.
- Chloe Gonzalez ran 4:20.11 in the 1,500m at the Bryan Clay Invitational for 69th place in a field of 175.
- Camden Gilmore also took third in his heat and 20th overall with 3:40.18 in the 1,500m.
- At the Tom Jones Invitational, Tim McInerney set a new personal best in the 800m with a 1:48.65 finish for 14th place overall.
- Also in the 800m, Gabriele Angiono took 21st place, running 1:49.18, and Ryan Mulrooney took 30th with a personal best of 1:50.09.
