WASHINGTON – Graduate student Lawson Renie was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. Graduate student Anna Karpenko earned a spot on the Weekly Honor Roll for the second-consecutive week and senior Maja Lardner also earned a nod to the honor roll for her efforts this past week.  
 
Lawson Renie | Gr. | D | Cincinnati, Ohio

• Renie was spectacular in a 2-0 week for GU as the graduate student played all 180 minutes of action.
• The graduate student helped anchor the backline in two shutouts this week for GU. The Hoyas are yet to concede a goal in 270 minutes of action.
• Renie and the GU defense allowed only one shot on goal this week and it came against Quinnipiac.  She also tallied four shots on the week.

 
Maja Lardner | Gr. | F | Dallas, Texas

• Lardner scored two goals in GU's victory against Sacred Heart on Sunday.
• The senior tallied her first points of the season in the conference.
• Lardner scored two goals in under two minutes to secure her spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.

 
Anna Karpenko | Gr. | GK | Richmond Hill, Ontario

• Karpenko played 90 minutes in goal this week and helped post two shutouts for GU.
• Karpenko made one save in her 90 minutes of action and has yet to allow a goal this season.
• The graduate student made 41 career appearances at Harvard during her career before transferring to GU for her final season of collegiate eligibility.
