WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's basketball team is scheduled to play at longtime rival Syracuse University on Saturday, December 14 as announced by both programs. The game will be part of GU's 2024-25 nonconference slate, presented by MedStar Health, and will be played at the JMA Wireless Dome. Time and broadcast information will be available at a later date.
 
ABOUT THE HOYAS
	- Georgetown went 9-23 in the 2023-24 season with a 2-18 mark in BIG EAST play.
- In five outings, Head Coach Ed Cooley is still looking for his first win against the Orange with the most recent matchup coming last season, an 80-68 home loss.
- For the upcoming season, the Hoyas return leading scorer Jayden Epps (18.5 ppg; 4.2 apg; 34.9 mpg), now in his junior season, and key reserve Drew Fielder (5.2 ppg; 3.1 rpg; 14.5 mpg) now in his sophomore year, from its rotation a season ago.

ABOUT THE ORANGE
	- Syracuse went 20-12 during the 2023-24 season with an 11-9 mark in ACC action.
- Head Coach Adrian Autry will be in his second season at the helm of the Orange during the 2024-25 season.
ABOUT THE SERIES
	- Georgetown trails the all-time series 54-45 to the Orange, and Syracuse owns a narrow 3-2 margin in the last five matchups, The last win for the Blue & Gray was a 79-75 win at Capital One Arena in 2021.
- The series dates back to 1930 and was heightened while both squads competed in the BIG EAST Conference through the 2013 season.
- The game will be held at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, New York. The last time the Hoyas won in Syracuse was on December 17, 2016 - a 78-71 victory that saw L.J. Peak record a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. He led a trio in double figures as Rodney Pryor added 20 points and Jessie Govan added 12 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double of his own.
- This will be the second meeting between Cooley and Autry.
