WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's field hockey team is back in action this weekend, hosting Villanova in BIG EAST action on Friday before traveling to face Towson on Sunday afternoon.

About the Hoyas
- Georgetown (2-7, 0-2 BIG EAST) is coming off a pair of setbacks in New England last weekend, including a 2-0 loss at league foe Providence and a 2-1 overtime loss at Holy Cross.
- Katherine Malloy scored the lone goal of the weekend while Ella Fahey and Alex Duff combined for 11 saves in two contests.
- On the year, Sydney Yodh paces the Hoyas with three goals and two assists for eight points while Izzy Lee is right behind with three goals and an assist for seven points.
- Malloy, Lily Saal and Caroline Suko all have four points for the Blue & Gray.
- In goal, Fahey has a 1.33 goals-against average to go with 21 saves and a .750 save percentage while Duff has a 2.72 GAA with 24 saves and a .686 save percentage.
Scouting Villanova
- Friday's game is set for 1 p.m. at Kehoe Field.
- The Wildcats are 3-6 (1-1 BIG EAST) on the year following a BIG EAST win at Temple and an upset victory over then-No. 15 Saint Joseph's over the weekend.
- Colleen Finnan leads Villanova with four goals and an assist for nine points while Ava Borkowski has four goals for eight points.
- In goal, Sophie Volkel has taken over the starting role the past six games and has a 1.67 GAA to go with 32 saves and a .744 save percentage.
- Georgetown and Villanova last met in 2024 with the Wildcats winning 6-1 in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.
Scouting Towson
- Sunday's contest is slated for a noon start in Towson, Maryland. The Tigers host Delaware on Friday before taking on the Hoyas.
- Towson is 5-4 on the year and is coming off a pair of 2-1 wins over Rider and Northeastern last weekend.
- Ella Kaufman leads TU with four goals and two assists for 10 points while Rosemarie Staal has three goals and an assist for seven points.
- In goal, Tessa Scheenstra has played every minute between the pipes with a 2.56 GAA, 58 saves and a .716 save percentage.
- Georgetown and Towson last played in 2024 with the Tigers winning 5-4 at home.
