Eight Hoyas Earn BIG EAST Honors, Nolan and Staff Named Coaching Staff of the Year

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's soccer team collected major postseason recognition from the BIG EAST Conference, with eight Hoyas earning honors following another standout regular season. Graduate forward Maja Lardner was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year, while senior Cara Martin earned BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year honors. Head Coach Dave Nolan and his staff were also selected as the BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year, marking the sixth time the program has received the award since 2007. 
Joining Lardner and Martin on the All-BIG EAST First Team was senior Natalie Means, as Georgetown once again led the league with three first-team selections. Senior Henley Tippins, senior Shay Montgomery, sophomore Lizzie Heller, and junior Kaya Hanson all getting BIG EAST second team. With senior Esme Brayshaw also earning all BIG EAST third team recognition, highlighting the team's depth and balance across the field.
The Hoyas finished the regular season 14-2-2 overall and 10-0 in BIG EAST play (first time in program history), claiming their fourth consecutive BIG EAST regular season title. Georgetown now turns its attention to the BIG EAST Championship Semifinal on Thursday, November 7, when the top-seeded Hoyas face fourth-seeded Creighton at 7:30 p.m. at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Maryland.
