WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball program will host its second annual golf outing on Friday, May 2 at the Blue Mash Golf Course located in Laytonsville, Maryland. This year's tournament proceeds will support the baseball program with needs such as player nutrition, player development and training technology.
Head Coach
Edwin Thompson has named the event in memory of former Head Coach Pete Wilk who coached at Georgetown for 21 seasons (1999-2020) and was the winningest coach in program history. Last May, he passed away following a 15-month battle with Glioblastoma.
"I am truly excited to rename our golf outing to honor Coach Wilk. He was so important to the history of Georgetown baseball, and we are thankful his wife and family have agreed to allow us to rename the event in his honor." - Head Coach
Edwin Thompson
