WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's and women's tennis teams wrapped up a full weekend of tennis this past weekend. The women's tennis team went 1-1 against BIG EAST opponents Providence and UConn, while men's tennis came up short to Penn State. A split for the women moves its record to 4-3, while the men slide to 3-5.
 
The women's tennis team opened its weekend with a 7-0 shutout victory against the Providence College Friars on Saturday, February 15 before coming up short in a 4-3 defeat to UConn on Sunday. The duo of Ashley Kennedy/Katie Garfolo-Ro went 2-0 in doubles matches, defeating the duos of Elisa Davalos/Elise Leik (PC) and Chloe Lomans/Isabella Asenov (UCONN). Emily Novikov, Natasha Kavarana and Carolyn Scheafer all tallied 2-0 weekends in singles matches, while Paige Gilbert, Kennedy, and Ellen Puzak tallied a win apiece.
 
The men's tennis team came up short to the Penn State Nittany Lions on Sunday afternoon. The duo of Jake Fellows/Arthur O'Sullivan defeated Charl Morgan/David Lindsay 6-3 to tally a win.
