WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men's basketball graduate student
Micah Peavy was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the league office in New York on Monday. The awards come after a 1-1 week for GU that saw the Hoyas defeat Providence 93-72 before falling to Creighton 80-69 in Omaha on Sunday afternoon. This is the fourth time this season Peavy has garnered a spot on the honor roll.
MICAH PEAVY (GRADUATE STUDENT / GUARD/FORWARD / 6-8 / 220 / CIBOLO, TEXAS)
- In a 1-1 week for the Hoyas, Micah Peavy averaged 25.0 ppg on 44.2% (19-43) shooting to go along with 9.5 rpg, 5.5 apg and 5.0 spg, all squad bests for the two-game stretch.
- Peavy poured in a career-best 30 points in a 93-72 win over Providence at home before tallying 20 points at Creighton.
- He managed a double-double at Creighton with 12 rebounds to match his career best.
- With 30 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and six steals against the Friars, Peavy is the first Division I player to reach all four numbers in a game since 2014.
- This is Peavy's fourth nod to the honor roll, previously earning the distinction on February 10, January 27 and December 2.
- For the month of February, the graduate student is averaging 24.0 ppg, 7.4 rpg 7.3 apg and 3.6 spg while shooting 47.5% (48-101) over five games.
