WASHINGTON- Georgetown University's track & field squads will travel to the Dr. Conrad Worrill Indoor Track and Field Center in Chicago, Illinois for the 2025 BIG EAST Indoor Track and Field Championships Presented by JEEP from February 28 to March 1. The meet will air on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports.
General admission to the event starts at $15 for a single-day ticket, while all-session two-day passes can be purchased for $25. A group discount is available for groups of 10 or more individuals. The group tickets start at $12 per person for one day or $16 per person for a two-day ticket.
About the Georgetown Men
- At the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational, Abel Teffra shattered the school record in the mile and surged to seventh on the NCAA all-time list with an impressive time of 3:52.44
- At the Penn State Nation Open, Jaden Marchan set a new school record in the 500m with a time of 1:01.55 and a first-place finish to go along with it.
- At the Nittany Lion Challenge, Tinoda Matsatsa broke his own NCAA Indoor Track & Field 1000m record with a time of 2:16.84 at the Nittany Lion Challenge on January 18. His previous record was almost exactly a year apart, coming on January 19, 2024, where he posted a time of 2:18.05 at the Hokie Invitational.
- At the Nittany Lion Challenge, Marchan delivered a stellar performance, running a 47.11 in the men's 400m to achieve the second-fastest time in school history and a second-place finish.
- At the Nittany Lion Challenge, Colin Kirkpatrick picked up a first-place finish for the Hoyas in the men's 3000m with a time of 8:09.84.
About the Georgetown Women
- At the Penn Collegiate, Rebecca Ochan claimed victory in the 200m with a time of 23.94, the second-fastest mark in Georgetown indoor history.
- At the Penn State National Open, Melissa Riggins ran a 4:30.47 in the mile to grab another first-place finish on the season.
- At the Penn Opener in Philadelphia, Ochan set a new school record in the women's 300m with a time of 38.21.
- At the Hokie Challenge, Chloe Scrimgeour and Lucy Jenks delivered an impressive 1-2 finish, with Scrimgeour securing first place at 9:27.02 and Jenks close behind at 9:27.25.
