Hoyas Head to North Carolina for City of Oaks Collegiate

WASHINGTON – Fresh off its spring break training trip, the Georgetown University women's golf team is in Raleigh, North Carolina for the City of Oaks Collegiate, hosted by NC State. The two-day tournament is being held on Friday and Saturday, March 21-22, on the par-72, 6,143-yard course at the Lonnie Poole Golf Club in the capital city.

The tournament will begin on Friday, March 21, with 36 holes on a shotgun start scheduled for Friday before the final 18 on Saturday, March 22.

ABOUT THE HOYAS

Megan Gormley is atop the Georgetown lineup. Most recently, Gormley tied for 38th at the Daniel Island Invitational at 8-over 224 (74-75-75). For the season, including the fall, Gormley leads the Hoyas with a 73.61 stroke average to go along with a 2.83 birdies and 10.39 pars per round.
Georgia Ruffolo was the top Hoya finisher in its last outing, tying for 23rd at 3-over 219 (71-71-77). With two rounds under par for the spring, Ruffolo leads the Hoyas and owns a 73.94 season stroke average to go along with 2.22 birdies and 11.17 pars per round.
Gabriella Eifrig placed 35th at the Daniel Island Invitational last month with a three-round score of 6-over 222 (71-75-76). She is the top Hoya freshman this spring with a 76.00 stroke average for the spring and is tallying 2.00 birdies and 10.17 pars per round over a pair of tournaments.
Catherine Qiu moves up the lineup to the four spot. Most recently, she placed 70th in the field at 24-over 240 (84-75-81). For the spring she has totaled nine birdies and 56 pars.
Charlotte Hillary rounds out the lineup and most recently tied for 65th at 22-over 238 (79-83-76) at Daniel Island. In South Carolina last time out, she tallied six birdies and 32 pars.
Tina Tang, competing as an individual, will be making her first appearance of the spring and third of the season. In a pair of tournaments in the fall, she totaled 10 birdies and 53 pars.
