WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's and women's tennis teams will compete in three matches this weekend. The men's team will travel to Xavier on Friday, April 4 before heading to Butler on Sunday, April 6. The women's team will stay in the DMV to face the St. John's Red Storm on Sunday, April 6 for its senior day.
The men's team enters the match with a 5-11 record and a 1-3 mark in BIG EAST play while the women's team enters its match at 6-9, 3-4 in conference action.

- Georgetown men's tennis enters the weekend with a 5-11 record and a 1-3 mark in conference action following a 4-1 loss to NJIT on Sunday at Brigade Sports Complex in Annapolis, Maryland.
- In the loss, Akira Morgenstern picked up a win in No. 2 singles (6-4, 6-0) over Nejc Skorjanc (NJIT).
- Jake Fellows leads the Hoyas in singles wins, with 14 to his credit. The senior captain has a 14-8 record dating back to the fall.
- Fellows/Arthur O'Sullivan lead the Hoyas in doubles wins with 11.
About Women's Tennis | 6-9, 3-4 BIG EAST
- Georgetown women's tennis enters Sunday's match with a 6-9 record and a 3-4 mark in conference action following a 4-3 defeat at Richmond this past Sunday.
- In the loss, Emily Novikov picked up a No. 1 singles over Sofia Barbulescu (RICH), 6-2, 6-3.
- Natasha Kavarana and Paige Gilbert also picked up singles win for GU.
- Novikov leads the Hoyas in wins this spring with nine, followed closely by Gilbert with eight.
- Both squads are led by Head Coach Freddy Mesmer, who is in his fourth season at the helm of the Hoyas. He is assisted by Diana Kussianova.
