WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's and women's tennis teams wrapped up three BIG EAST matches this past weekend. The men's team defeated Xavier, 5-2 on Friday before falling to Butler, 4-3 on Sunday. The women's team dropped its match to St. Johns, 4-3 on Sunday at the Montgomery TennisPlex in Montgomery County, Maryland.

In the win over Xavier, the Hoyas went 5-1 in singles matches and tallied one doubles win. Arthur O'Sullivan, Akira Morgenstern, James O'Sullivan, Sahil Morey and Adhvyte Sharma all tallied singles wins for the Hoyas. The duo of Akira Morgenstern/Sharma picked up the lone doubles win for the Hoyas.

In the loss to Butler, Sharma and James O'Sullivan both won their singles matches against Butler to round out 2-0 weekends. The duos of Jake Fellows/Arthur O'Sullivan and Burke Pablo/James O'Sullivan won its doubles matches in this match.

In women's tennis's loss to St. John's, Emily Novikov, Ashley Kennedy and Katie Garafolo-Ro all picked up singles wins in No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles matches, respectively.
