WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's openweight team is set to compete at the 2025 Patriot League Rowing Championship set to take place on Friday, May 16, at Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J. Races will be contested in the varsity eight, second varsity eight, varsity four, and second varsity four categories. The team that earns the most points will receive the Patriot League's automatic berth to the NCAA Championship.
Fans can follow the action live as the 2025 Patriot League Women's Rowing Championship will be streamed on ESPN+, with coverage beginning at 8 a.m. A link to live stats and stream will be available at GUHoyas.com.
BOAT LINEUP
1st Varsity 8+ (1V8)
Coxed by Lilly Bartilucci, the 1V8 features Sophia Grossman at stroke, followed by Amrit Chapman, Katrina Csaky, Jordan Keene, Audrey Chapman, Emma Wendt, Clara Weller, and Anna Hemmerle in bow.
2nd Varsity 8+ (2V8)
Yanna Grammas coxes the 2V8 with Ellie Power at stroke. Behind her are Sydney Thompson, Caden Collins, Noelle Winegar, Rebecca Estevao, Julia Ashton, Alexandra Junko, and Madeleine Sweet in bow.
1st Varsity 4+ (1V4)
Phoebe Opler coxes the 1V4 with Abigail Camp at stroke, followed by Sophia Close, Katherine Lord-Krause, and Caroline Stevens in bow.
2nd Varsity 4+ (2V4)
Coxed by Abbey Murray, the 2V4 has Lily Plum at stroke, with Elana Elder, Sophie Roman, and Caroline Keller behind her.
ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
- The Patriot League Championship will feature 9 other institutions including Boston University, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lehigh, Loyola Maryland, MIT and Navy
- Last season, the Boston University Terriers women's rowing team captured their third Patriot League Women's Rowing Championship, sweeping the Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, and Varsity Four races.
- In 2024, the Georgetown squad finished fourth with 36 team points.
