WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team will travel to South Orange, New Jersey to face the Seton Hall Pirates in the second to last BIG EAST series of the season. Game one is slated for Friday, May 9 with first pitch coming at 6 p.m.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Georgetown (14-35, 2-13 BE) is coming off an 8-7 defeat against the Delaware Blue Hens on Tuesday evening. Despite a grand slam from Ashtin Gilio giving GU a late lead, the Hoyas were unable to overcome the power of the Blue Hen offense.
- Blake Schaaf paces the Hoya offense, slashing .350/.448/.491 on the season. The sophomore is second on the team in doubles (9), is second on the squad in triples (1) and leads the team on the base path with 26 stolen bags on the campaign.
- Owen Carapellotti has been sensational in conference play slashing .356/.441/.780 in 15 games for GU. The senior leads the squad in hits (21), home runs (7) and RBIs (22). Carapellotti is seven homers away from breaking the single season home run record of 20 set by Ubaldo Lopez.
- JT Raab leads the Hoyas on the mound boasting a 4-2 record and a 3.65 ERA. Raab leads the team in strikeouts (61) and innings pitched (61.2).
- Georgetown ranks 18th nationally in stolen bases with 112 on the season. The Blue & Gray ranks top three in the BIG EAST in base on balls (243), sacrifice bunts (33), sacrifice flies (28), shutouts (1), stolen bases (112) and stolen bases per game (2.29).
ABOUT SETON HALL
- Seton Hall (20-28, 6-9 BE) is coming off a 1-2 weekend against the Xavier Musketeers. The Pirates dropped games two and three of the series 6-1 and 9-7.
- Aiden Robbins leads the Pirates at the dish slashing .420/.533/.652 on the season. Robbins leads the squad in hits (76), doubles (17) and walks (38).
- Cole Hansen paces the Seton Hall pitching staff with a 5.81 ERA in 12 starts. Hansen has logged 57.1 innings and has allowed 37 earned runs while punching out 42.
