WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team is set to host the University of Maryland Terrapins on Tuesday, April 28 at Capital One Park for a midweek game. Tuesday's matchup will feature a Blackout Game, and fans are encouraged to wear black to show their support. First pitch in Tysons, Virginia is scheduled for 6 p.m.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- In its last outing, Georgetown fell to the UConn Huskies 3-2 on Sunday, April 26 at Capital One Park.
- Connor Peek leads the Hoya offense slashing .358/.455/.514 in his first season on the Hilltop. The graduate student has tallied 62 hits, 12 doubles, five home runs, 38 RBIs and 45 runs scored.
- Jeremy Sheffield has had a standout year for the Hoyas slashing .349/.456/.479 this season. The senior has notched 59 hits, 39 RBIs, 11 doubles, a triple, three home runs and 31 runs scored.
- Graduate left-hander Spencer Seid holds a 5-4 record and a 4.01 ERA while leading Georgetown with 61 strikeouts on 60.2 innings pitched over ten starts. Senior right-hander Kai Leckszas owns a 4-3 record and a 3.95 ERA with 44 strikeouts over 54.2 innings and ten starts. JT Raab holds a 2-4 record with an 8.74 ERA with 49 strikeouts.
- Graduate right-hander Luke Jackman has a 1.64 ERA while leading the Hoyas with six saves and a 3-1 record in 22.0 innings and 17 appearances out of the bullpen.
- Georgetown returns 22 players from the 2025 squad and has added 10 transfers and seven newcomers.
- Graduate student JT Raab earned a nod to the 2026 Preseason All-BIG EAST Team after posting a team-best 3.63 ERA in 74.1 innings of action in 2025. The Seaford, New York native was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team in 2025.
- Head Coach Edwin Thompson enters his sixth season on the Hilltop. Thompson guided GU to its most successful season in program history in 2024 posting a 36-21 record marking three-consecutive 30-win seasons for the first time in program history.
ABOUT MARYLAND
- The Terps enter the contest with a 21-23 overall record following a 13-1 loss in seven innings to Michigan State on Sunday, April 26 in East Lansing, Michigan.
- Right-handed pitcher Jake Yeager holds an 8.82 ERA in 33.2 innings of work with 25 punchouts on the season.
