Five Hoyas Named 2024-25 WGCA All-American Scholars

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's golf team had five student-athletes recognized as Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars, as announced by the association today. The five Hoyas all earn the accolade for the first time in their Hoya careers.
 
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team was a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. To earn the honor, a student-athlete must have played in 50% of the institution's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year..A total of 1,499 women's collegiate golfers, across all three divisions, were recognized with this prestigious honor.
 
GABRIELLA EIFRIG 
Freshman | Newport Beach, Calif.
  • This is the first WGCA All-American Scholar honor of Eifrig's career.
  • Through 30 rounds of play, all in the starting lineup, Eifrig averaged a 76.93 stroke average.
  • She turned in two rounds under par during the season and managed 10.07 pars and 1.97 birdies per round.
  • She was part of a Hoya squad that finished as runners up at the BIG EAST Championships, carding an 8-over 224 (77-73-74) to finish in a tie for fifth place.
 
CHARLOTTE HILLARY 
Graduate Student | Englewood, Colo.
  • This is the first WGCA All-American Scholar honor of Hillary's Hoya career.
  • Through 24 rounds of play, only one tournament as an individual, Hillary averaged a 78.63 stroke average.
  • She turned in one round under par and one round at par during the season. She managed 9.46 pars and 1.67 birdies per round.
  • She was part of a Hoya squad that finished as runners up at the BIG EAST Championships, listed as a substitute.
 
CATHERINE QIU
Freshman | Great Falls, Va.
  • This is the first WGCA All-American Scholar honor of Qiu's career.
  • Through 27 rounds of play, all in the starting lineup, Qiu averaged a 79.59 stroke average.
  • She managed 9.44 pars and 1.41 birdies per round.
  • She was part of a Hoya squad that finished as runners up at the BIG EAST Championships, carding a 9-over 225 (78-73-74) to finish in seventh place.
 
GEORGIA RUFFOLO
Senior | Tampa, Fla.
  • This is the first WGCA All-American Scholar honor of Ruffolo's career.
  • Through 30 rounds of play, all in the top two spots, Ruffolo averaged a 74.53 stroke average.
  • She turned in five rounds under par during the season and one round at par. She managed 10.57 pars and 2.50 birdies per round.
  • She was part of a Hoya squad that finished as runners up at the BIG EAST Championships, carding an 18-over 234 (85-76-73) to finish 15th place.
  • She was named the BIG EAST Women's Golfer of the Year following the season and picked up her second All-BIG EAST honor of her career.
 
TINA TANG 
Sophomore | Beijing, China
  • This is the first WGCA All-American Scholar honor of Tang's career.
  • Through 15 rounds of play, Tang averaged an 80.87 stroke average.
  • She managed 8.73 pars and 1.33 birdies per round.
