Georgetown Football Falls to Lafayette in Conference Opener

WASHINGTON –The Georgetown football team fell 42-37 to Patriot League foe Lafayette on Cooper Field on Saturday afternoon. The Hoyas are now 2-1 on the season and 0-1 in conference action.

ON THE RECORD
"That was a great way to start the Patriot League schedule. Playing a competitive back and forth game with a talented Lafayette team. I don't think that we played to our full potential for the whole game but I am extremely proud of how our kids fought and kept coming back after being down early in the game. There are a lot of things we need to improve on as we get ready for back-to- back Ivy League games." - Head Coach Rob Sgarlata on today's contest.
