WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's field hockey team hits the road for a pair of games in New England this weekend. The Hoyas continue BIG EAST play at Providence on Friday at 3 p.m. before taking on Holy Cross on Sunday in Worcester, Massachusetts on Sunday at noon.

About the Hoyas
- Georgetown (2-5, 0-1 BIG EAST) are coming off a hard-fought 2-1 loss to Temple in the BIG EAST opener last weekend.
- Izzy Lee scored the lone goal for the Hoyas in the game and earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for her efforts.
- On the year, Sydney Yodh paces the Hoyas with three goals and two assists for eight points while Lee is right behind with three goals and an assist for seven points.
- Lily Saal and Caroline Suko both have four points for the Blue & Gray.
- In goal, Ella Fahey and Alex Duff have split time between the pipes.
- Fahey has a 1.33 goals-against average to go with 15 saves and a .750 save percentage while Duff has a 2.57 GAA with 19 saves and a .679 save percentage.
Scouting Providence
- The Friars are 4-3 (0-1 BIG EAST) on the year following a pair of losses last weekend, including a 2-0 setback to Old Dominion in league play.
- Carly Van Benten leads PC with two goals and six assists or 10 points while Ari Ftorek and Bo Martina both have four goals and an assist for nine points.
- In goal, Ava Porter has played all but 15 minutes in cage and has a 1.51 GAA to go with 34 saves and a .756 save percentage.
- Georgetown and Providence last met in 2024 with the Friars winning 4-1 in the District.
Scouting Holy Cross
- The Crusaders are 3-4 on the year and are coming off a 2-1 midweek win at Bryant on Tuesday.
- Maguire Sturgis leads Holy Cross with five goals and four assists for 14 points while Kendall Brady has four goals from eight points on the year.
- In goal, Mia McCloskey has played all but one quarter between the pipes with a 2.22 GAA, 49 saves and a .766 save percentage.
- Holy Cross hosts Boston University on Friday before welcoming the Hoyas on Sunday.
- Georgetown and Holy Cross last played in 2017 with the Hoyas winning 4-3 in Worcester.
