Georgetown Falls 1-0 to Villanova

VILLANOVA, Pa.  - The Georgetown University women's soccer team fell to Villanova, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon at Higgins Soccer Complex. With the result, the Hoyas move to 3-4-3 overall and 0-2-1 in BIG EAST play, while the Wildcats improve to 5-1-6 overall and 1-0-2 in conference play.

Head Coach Dave Nolan

  • "Today's result was a tough pill to swallow. Sadly we found ourselves down a goal on their first real shot and was something we could have avoided. We came back strong hit the cross bar and created chances. The second half was more of the same, we hit another post and had plenty of moments where we could have got something.  Credit to Nova they played hard, were well organized and are playing with confidence right now. They have played very well in moments this season and deserve better. On to Providence next Wednesday."
