No. 3/5 Georgetown Travels to St. John’s on Saturday

WASHINGTON – The No. 3/5 Georgetown University men's soccer team (9-1-1, 3-0-0 BIG EAST) will head out to take on the St. John's University Red Storm in a BIG EAST Conference matchup at Cox Family Field at Belson Stadium in Queens, New York on Saturday evening. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.

About the Hoyas
  • The Hoyas are coming off a massive 6-1 win over the Providence College Friars last Friday evening at Shaw Field.
  • Georgetown scored all six goals in the first half marking a historic night for the Hoyas who had not scored six goals in a contest since the 2013 season.
  • On Monday, Terrance Reynolds was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, while Matthew Van Horn received a nod to the weekly honor roll as the Hoyas went 1-0.
  • Reynolds recorded his first collegiate goal and added an assist for three points in Georgetown's 6-1 victory over Providence.
  • The freshman was one of eight Hoyas to record a point as Georgetown erupted for six goals and 20 total points in the conference win.
  • Van Horn scored twice in Georgetown's 6-1 victory over Providence, finishing with four points as the Hoyas remained unbeaten in BIG EAST play.

About the Red Storm
  • The Red Storm enters Saturday's match with a 5-4-1 overall record and a 1-0-1 mark in BIG EAST play.
  • SJU is unbeaten in BIG EAST play as well as in four of its last five matches overall.
  • Issa Atcha Yaya provided the lone goal in a 1-0 Red Storm victory over Monmouth on Tuesday.
