WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University swimming & diving teams make the short trip across town on Saturday, October 10, to square off against crosstown rival Howard University in the annual "Battle AT The Burr". Racing gets underway at 3:00 p.m. in Washington, D.C.

The Hoyas are looking to bounce back following a hard-fought road dual against Towson University on October 2. Despite the final team scores, where the women fell 136–107 and the men dropped a 131–112 decision, Georgetown put together several standout performances.
On the women's side, the 400-yard medley relay squad of
Heidi Wu,
Catherine Bu,
Bella Dimaculangan, and
Madie Malone kicked off the afternoon with a victory in 3:51.62. Bu also captured first place in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:22.29), while
Kaitlin Lee touched first in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:36.47).
For the men,
Holden Brown swept the freestyle sprints with wins in the 200-yard free (1:42.73) and 100-yard free (46.61), and
Gabe Gonda claimed the 200-yard butterfly in 1:54.35. In the diving well,
Keilan Phillips Liu swept the boards, taking first place on both the 1-meter (287.78) and 3-meter (283.28) events.

The cross-town series between the Hoyas and the Bison continues on Saturday. Dating back to 2013, the men's program holds a 7–0 advantage in head-to-head meetings, looking to continue its momentum following last year's 139–78 victory in Washington, D.C. Both squads enter Saturday eager to secure crucial early-season momentum.
