WASHINGTON – Barrett Justema shattered her own school record by more than five seconds to automatically advance to Saturday's 3,000m steeplechase final on day two of the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field on Thursday night.

- Women's 3,000m Steeplechase Prelims: Justema dropped her school record and personal best by more than five seconds as she punched her ticket to Saturday's final with a time of 9:45.58. She finished fifth in the first heat to automatically qualify and recorded the 11th-fastest mark among those in the prelims.
- Women's 1,500m Prelims: Charlotte Tomkinson took 15th in the field with a time of 4:11.16 while placing eighth in the second heat.
