WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's 10th-ranked men's lacrosse team heads to the NCAA Tournament for the 19th time in program history with a first round game at No. 5/4 Virginia on Sunday night in Charlottesville, Virginia. Opening faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m. under the lights at Klockner Stadium.

- Georgetown is coming off a 14-6 victory over Providence in the BIG EAST Championship Finals, earning its eighth-straight league tournament crown and the BIG EAST's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

Rory Connor is right behind with 63 points (50G, 13A) and is third in the NCAA in goals per game. Bickel has 26 points (17G, 9A), Jack Ransom has 25 points (18G, 7A), Schubert has 24 (17G, 7A) and Miller adds 23 (20G, 3A).
- Six different Hoyas have double-digit caused turnovers, led by Banks with 18 and MacFarland with 17.
- Ross Prince is 62-for-119 (.521) on faceoffs with 31 ground balls while Hayden Cody has gone 102-for-223 (.457) with 53 ground balls.
- In goal, Moore has a 9.44 goals-against average to go with a .561 save percentage and 165 saves.
Scouting Virginia
- The Cavaliers are 10-6 on the season and coming off a 16-6 win over North Carolina to win the ACC Tournament Championship.
- Brendan Millon (30G, 44A) and McCabe Millon (33G, 41A) both lead the Cavaliers with 74 points on the year while Truitt Sunderland has 67 (49G, 18A) and Ryan Colsey adds 44 (34G, 10A).
- Virginia utilizes a trio of faceoff specialists, combining to go 240-for-457 (.525). Griff Meyer leads the pack at 117-for-217 (.539) with 75 ground balls.
- Defensively, John Schroter anchors the Cavalier defense with 23 caused turnovers and 22 ground balls.
- In goal, Jake Marek (9-5) has started 13 games between the pipes and owns a 10.71 GAA to go with a .527 save percentage and 157 saves.
