WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's golf team had five student-athletes recognized as Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars, as announced by the association today. Of the five Hoyas, a quartet are repeat honorees while a GU freshman earns the accolade for the first time in her career.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team was a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. To earn the honor, a student-athlete must have played in 50% of the institution's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year. A total of 1,551 women's collegiate golfers were recognized with this prestigious honor.
GEORGIA RUFFOLO
Graduate Student | Tampa, Fla.
- This is the second WGCA All-American Scholar honor of Ruffolo's career after the graduate student earned the accolade during the 2025-26 season.
- Through 27 rounds of play, playing all but one tournament in the top spot, Ruffolo averaged a 74.81 stroke average.
- She turned in two rounds under par during the season and two rounds at par. She managed 11.48 pars, 1.93 birdies and 0.07 eagles per round.
- She was part of a Hoya squad that finished third at the BIG EAST Championships, carding a 5-over 221 (73-70-78) to finish in third place. She was one of two GU student-athletes to record a round under par at the championships.
- The graduate student was named to the All-BIG EAST squad for the third-consecutive year.
- Following the season, she was also named College Sports Communicators (formerly College Sports Information Directors of America) At-Large Academic All-District®. It was the second-consecutive season she earned the accolade.
MIMI BURTON
Junior | Austin, Texas
- This is the second WGCA All-American Scholar honor of Burton's career after the Notre Dame transfer was named to the squad as a freshman during the 2023-24 season.
- Through 24 rounds of play, only one tournament as an individual, Burton averaged a 77.08 stroke average.
- She turned in one round under par and managed 10.58 pars and 1.67 birdies per round.
- She was part of a Hoya squad that finished third at the BIG EAST Championships, carding a 21-over 237 (81-75-81) to tie for 25th place.
GABRIELLA EIFRIG
Sophomore | Newport Beach, Calif.
- This is the second WGCA All-American Scholar honor of Eifrig's career after being tabbed to the list as a freshman during the 2024-25 season.
- Through 27 rounds of play, 21 in the starting lineup, Eifrig averaged a 78.04 stroke average.
- She turned in one round under par during the season and managed 9.74 pars and 1.85 birdies per round.
- She was part of a Hoya squad that finished third at the BIG EAST Championships, carding a 10-over 226 (77-74-75) to finigh in 11th place.
CATHERINE QIU
Sophomore | Great Falls, Va.
- This is the second WGCA All-American Scholar honor of Qiu's career after she earned the distinction as a freshman during the 2024-25 season.
- Through 21 rounds of play, 15 in the starting lineup, Qiu averaged a 78.00 stroke average, improving upon her average from a season ago.
- She turned in one round under par during the season and managed 10.14 pars and 1.57 birdies per round.
- She was part of a Hoya squad that finished third at the BIG EAST Championships, carding a 14-over 230 (82-71-77) to tie for 15th place. She was one of two GU student-athletes to record a round under par at the championships.
SUNNY WANG
Freshman | Thousand Oaks, Calif.
- This is the first WGCA All-American Scholar honor of Wang's career.
- Through 27 rounds of play, all in the starting lineup, the freshman averaged a 77.07 stroke average.
- She turned in two rounds under par, back-to-back during the fall season, and managed 10.30 pars and 1.70 birdies per round.
- She was part of a Hoya squad that finished third at the BIG EAST Championships, carding a 9-over 225 (76-73-76) to tie for seventh place.
