WASHINGTON – Georgetown University cross country and track & field welcomes 22 newcomers to the Hoya program ahead of the upcoming season. The talented incoming class features 12 additions to the women's roster and 10 to the men's side, combining highly decorated high school signees with impactful collegiate transfers.
 
The group boasts an array of impressive credentials, including multiple state champions, collegiate all-conference performers, a Chilean U20 national record-holder, and NCAA championship experience.

• Won the 2024 Illinois Outdoor State 4x800m title in state-record fashion.
• Placed third in the 800m at back-to-back Illinois state meets in 2025 and 2026.

Lauren Banovac - Nashville, Tenn / Brentwood High School

• Claimed the 2026 Tennessee Outdoor 1600m state title.
• Won the 2025 Tennessee Cross Country state championship and competed as a two-time Nike Cross Country Nationals qualifier.
