WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's field hockey team heads down I-95 for a pair of weekend games in Richmond, Virginia. The Hoyas take on the host Spiders on Friday at 4 p.m. before battling William & Mary at a neutral site at Richmond on Sunday at 4 p.m.

About the Hoyas

• Georgetown went 1-1 last weekend to even their record to 2-2 on the season. The Hoyas fell 3-1 at Towson before defeating Lock Haven 6-0 on the road.
• The six goals for the Hoyas were the most in a game since a 9-1 win against Queens (N.C.) in 2022.
• Kate McManaman scored two goals and added three assists over the weekend to earn a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
• Katherine Malloy scored the lone goal for GU against Towson with an assist courtesy of McManaman. Alex Duff collected four saves in the loss.
• Against the Bald Eagles, McManaman had two goals and two assists in the win. Colleen Maloney, Riley Fitzgerald, Carolina Suko and Izzy Lee each scored against LHU as well with Elena Perez Alejandro and Laney Reiser with an assist each. Duff had one save against Lock Haven as Georgetown's defense held them to just one shot the entire game.
• On the year, McManaman paces the Blue & Gray with nine points (3G, 3A) while Lee has four points (1G, 2A) and Perez Alejandro has three (3A).
• In goal, Duff (2-2) has played every minute and holds a 1.42 goals-against average with 18 saves and a .750 save percentage.

Scouting Richmond

• Friday's game is slated for 4 p.m. in Richmond, Virginia at Crenshaw Field
• Richmond is 3-1 to start the year with a trio of shutouts against Queens, American and Longwood. The lone Richmond loss came 1-0 against then-No. 6 Duke.
• Clara Larripa leads the Spiders with 15 points (7G, 1A) while Abril Peroni has 10 (5G). Ellen Nicholls is the top distributor with four assists on the year.
• Amanda Cimillo (3-1) has played all but 15 minutes for Richmond and has a .28 GAA with 12 saves and a .923 save percentage.
• Richmond picked up a 2-1 win in last season's meeting in Virginia. Suko scored the lone goal with an assist from Lily Saal while Duff and Ella Fahey combined for five saves on the day.

Scouting William & Mary

• Sunday's game is set for 4 p.m. at Richmond's Crenshaw Field.
• The Tribe is 1-2 on the year with losses to No. 6 Duke and VCU as well as a victory over Longwood. William & Mary plays at American on Friday before meeting the Hoyas on Sunday.
• Josie Mae Gruendel and Hailey Haynes both lead W&M with two goals on the year while Kate Longo and Emilia Rubel both had a goal and an assist.
• Alexandra de Jesus has played all but 10:12 in goal this season, holding a 4.24 GAA to go with 22 saves and a .647 save percentage.
• Georgetown and the Tribe last met in 2023 with W&M winning 4-1. Fahey had five saves for the Hoyas in the loss.
