Georgetown Welcomes No. 12/4 Virginia to Shaw Field

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's soccer team (1-2-1) returns to Shaw Field on Sunday, hosting No. 12/4 Virginia (4-0-1). Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. on the Hilltop.

ABOUT THE HOYAS 

  • Last time out, Georgetown's contest against James Madison was ruled a no contest due to inclement weather.

  • Prior to the matchup against the Dukes, the Hoyas fell to Virginia Tech, 2-1, on August 30 at Shaw Field, moving to 1-2-1 on the season.

  • Maddy Nylen scored her first career goal in the 78th minute against Virginia Tech, bringing the Hoyas within one.

  • Georgetown recorded eight shots against Virginia Tech, led by Abby Droner and Aliza Mannon with two apiece.
