WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's golf team opens the fall portion of the 2026-27 schedule at the Tribe Invitational on September 7-8. The tournament is hosted by William & Mary will be held at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia. The eight-team field will play three rounds over two days on the par-72, 5,924-yard River course.

• The tournament begins on Monday, September 7, with 36 holes while the remaining 18 are scheduled for Tuesday, September 8.

ABOUT THE HOYAS

• Mimi Burton will compete in the top spot of GU's lineup She ended the 2025-26 season with a 77.08 stroke average from 24 rounds of stroke play. The senior turned in one round under par, the first round of the Blue Hen Invitational in the fall. To close the season, she tied for 29th at the BIG EAST Championship, carding a 3-over 75 in the second round that was sandwiched between a pair of 81s in rounds one and three.
• Gabriella Eifrig will be second in the lineup. Her sophomore season saw her end the season with a 78.04 stroke average from 27 rounds of stroke play. Eifrig turned in one round under par, carding a 1-under 70 in the first round at the Cougar Classic to open her sophomore season. An 11th-place finish at the BIG EAST Championship, carding a 10-over 226 (77-74-75), closed the season.
• Freshman Carol Yan will compete third in the lineup. Prior to Georgetown, Yan placed seventh in her only tournament during the spring of the 2026 Southern California PGA Tour at the 2-Day Spring Series #4. She played in four 2025 Southern California PGA Tour competitions, highlighted by a seventh-place performance at the 2025 Toyota Tour Cup at Shadow Hills.
• Sunny Wang returns for her sophomore season at fourth in the lineup. She ended the season with a 77.07 stroke average from 27 rounds of stroke play. As a freshman, she turned in a pair of back-to-back rounds of under par golf with matching 1-under 71s in the second and third rounds to close the fall season at the Blue Hen Invitational. She tied for seventh at the BIG EAST Championship with a 9-over 225 (76-73-76).
• Following two seasons, Catherine Qiu opens her junior year at fifth in the lineup. Her sophomore season saw a 78.00 stroke average from 21 rounds of stroke play. She posted one round under par as she turned in a 1-under 71 in the second round of the BIG EAST Championship at the end of the season. She closed the season tied for 15th at the BIG EAST Championship, carding a 14-over 230 (81-71-77).
• Competing as an individual is Olivia Ty in her junior season. She ended the season with an 81.67 stroke average from six rounds of stroke play.
• Freshman Mahreen Bhatia will make her Hoya debut as an individual. Prior to her time on the HIlltop, she took first place at the 2024 FCG Callaway World Championship and finished second at the 2025 AJGA International Pathways.
• Freshman Constanze Keferstein rounds out the Hoya roster also competing as an individual. Prior to Georgetown, she reached a world amateur ranking of 227 in May 2025. She finished 23rd at the 2025 Annika Invitational Europe and took fourth place at the 2024 German U16 Individual Championship.

 
HOYAS X TRIBE INVITATIONAL

• The last time the Hoyas competed in William & Mary's fall tournament was during the 2023-24 season when the tournament was known as the William & Mary Invitational. The Hoyas won the three-round tournament to open the fall slate with a team score of 27-over 897 (300-295-296).
• Former Hoya Megan Gormley tied for second at 4-over 220 (74-75-71).
