WASHINGTON, D.C. - Georgetown men's soccer Head Coach Keith Tabatznik has announced the signing of four student-athletes who will attend Georgetown University and play soccer in the fall. Peter Fusz (St. Louis, Mo./Chaminade Prep), Kaiser Chowdhry (Baltimore, Md./McDonough), Dan Gargan (Philadelphia, Pa./Chestnut Hill Academy) and Kevin Sindelar (Potomac, Md./Churchill) have signed letters-of-intent to play for Georgetown.
Chowdhry, a forward, was named the Maryland Player of the Year as a senior at McDonough High School. He is the most prolific scorer in MIAA Conference history with 97 goals and 51 assists in his career and was a NSCAA High School All-American in 2000. Last season he scored 45 goals and handed out 23 assists.
Fusz, a midfielder, was one of 150 high school players chosen to participate in the Adidas Elite Soccer Program last summer. He started in the all-star game at the ESP. Fusz was an all-state performer at Chaminade Prep and is in the Olympic Development Program.
Gargan, a forward/midfielder from Chestnut Hill Academy in Philadelphia, was an all-state performer and his team's Most Valuable Player the last two seasons. He won the league MVP award as a senior and was the runner-up as a junior. He has played for the Olympic Development Program Regional Team for the last three seasons.
Sindelar, a midfielder, was also chosen to participate in the Adidas Elite Soccer Program last summer. He is a teammate of Chowdhry on both the Region I East Olympic Development team and the Baltimore Football Club. Sindelar was a captain at Churchill High and was a member of the Maryland State Championship team as a junior.
"This is unquestionably one of the best incoming classes ever at Georgetown," said Tabatznik. All four have the ability and experience to make an impact on our program. We have definitely strengthened our squad in all areas needed. This class rates among the best in the country."
