On Saturday, March 23rd Georgetown President Jack DeGioia will join Washington area firefighters and police officers to throw out the first pitch in a ceremony sponsored by Georgetown Baseball to honor the courageous heroes of September 11th. President DeGioia will join firefighters and police officers prior to Georgetown?s match up with Big East rival West Virginia at Shirley Povich Field in Bethesda, MD. The Georgetown Baseball program and community want to express their appreciation and admiration of Washington area emergency service professionals and volunteers who protect us. The ceremony is scheduled for 11:30AM with the game starting at noon.
