PERTH, AUSTRALIA ? Recent Georgetown graduates Steve Dusseau ?02 and Scott Doyle ?01 continued to play an instrumental role for the United States Men?s Lacrosse Team at the ILF World Championships Tuesday, scoring a combined five goals to help lead the US past Canada. Dusseau tallied three goals, all in the first quarter, while Doyle scored two, as the US rallied to a 14-9 win. Dusseau scored all but one of Team USA?s four goals during the first quarter, as the United States held a 4-2 lead heading into the second frame. The US maintained the lead throughout the next three quarters, with the support of Doyle?s two scores. Canada went on a four-goal run in the fourth quarter, but came up short at the final whistle.
The US will complete pool play with a game against England on Wednesday, July 10, before continuing on to the semifinals on Friday.
