, Pa. (AP) ? The Georgetown University women?s field hockey team (3-14) lost to Saint Joseph?s (10-7) Wednesday evening on Finnesey Field.
Georgetown kept Saint Joseph?s off the scoreboard for the first 24 minutes of the game, until Hilary Moody notched a goal off a corner. The Hawks Nicole Antonini then scored two more goals by the end of the first half to make the score 3-0.
Antonini scored again three minutes into the second half, and Maryann Reis and Kateless Zapolski added goals to make the final 6-0.
Georgetown goalie Abby Winer (Rising Sun, Md./Rising Sun) made eight saves for the Hoyas. Caitlyn Faller (Fredericksburg, Va./Stafford) also made an appearance in goal for the Hoyas with two saves.
The
Hoyas
will
complete
their
season
on
Saturday
at
noon when
they
host
Bucknell
on
Kehoe
Field.
Georgetown will
be
honoring
its
three
seniors:
Caroline Cole (Boston, Mass./Buckingham, Browne, and Nichols),
Meghan Devaney (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck) ,
and
Meghan Leahy (Windham, N.H./St. Paul's School ).
