WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Georgetown University recent graduate Parker Brooks (C '05) signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Dodgers as an infielder on June 12. Brooks reported to the Dodgers organization in the Gulf Coast League on June 13, and was then moved up to the Vero Beach Dodgers of the Florida State League.
The leadoff batter and secondbaseman for the Hoyas in 2005, Brooks led the team in hits and doubles, tallying 69 and 15, respectively. Batting .315 for the year, Brooks started 53 of 55 games played, dishing out 125 assists and recording a fielding percentage of .959.
