Washington, D.C. - Georgetown University's official athletics website, GUHoyas.com is set to begin its HoyaVision coverage for the 2006 spring season this coming weekend with home men's lacrosse and baseball games.
To launch the spring seasons, Chuck Timanus, one of the HoyaVision play-by-play voices, sat down with men's lacrosse coach Dave Urick and baseball head coach Pete Wilk to get an inside look on the 2006 seasons. On Saturday, February 25 at 2 p.m., the No. 8 ranked men's lacrosse team hosts No. 3 Maryland at the Multi-Sport Field. HoyaVision, with Chuck Timanus making the call, will bring the game to the internet.
HoyaVision will be back in action on Sunday, February 26 at 1 p.m. when the baseball team hosts Saint Joseph's at Shirley Povich Field in Bethesda, Md. Live audio of the game will be available on GUHoyas.com with Mike Vaillancourt calling the action.
This season, HoyaVision will coverall six men's lacrosse home games. The Georgetown women's lacrosse team will play seven home games, with six being broadcast live by HoyaVision. The women's lacrosse game vs. Princeton on March 22 will be produced and broadcast by College Sports Television.
Audio will be available live on HoyaVision for 13 of the Hoya baseball home games.
