Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University Baseball Program will host its 10th Annual Prospect Camp during Columbus Day Weekend, October 7-9, 2006. All high school students are encouraged to attend.
This year's staff of camp counselors and instructors will include: the Georgetown University coaching staff - Head Coach Pete Wilk & Assistant Coaches Mark VanAmeyde and Matt Bok - as well as David Baad, St. Alban's High School Head Coach, Parker Brooks, former Georgetown second baseman, currently with the Los Angeles Dodgers Organization, Jay Catalano, former Georgetown Hoya, Baseball Operations, Florida Marlins and Michael Lombardi, former Georgetown All-BIG EAST catcher, currently with the Philadelphia Phillies organization.
The counselors will provide instruction on all fundamentals of the game.
The Saturday, October 7 and Monday, October 9 camp sessions will take place at the home field of the Hoyas, Shirley Povich Field in Bethesda, Md. with the Sunday's camp session to be held at the Montgomery College-Rockville Campus in Rockville, Md.
Camp instruction will take place from 9am - 2pm each day.
