Washington, D.C. - With the arrival of summer, a group of Georgetown baseball players have returned to the diamond in various summer leagues across the United States. Here is a quick glimpse at how they are doing in their different locations and a glance back at how they completed their 2009 season with the Hoyas.
Tom Elliott (Blue Bell, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) and Dan Godefroi (Andover, Mass./Andover) are playing with the Lowell All-Americans of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. The All-Americans compete in the Eastern Division of the 12-team league. Both players are starting in the field for Lowell and Elliott leads the team with a .350 batting average while also slugging .400 and attaining an on-base percentage of .480. The shortstop was second on the GU charts in hits, runs and home runs this past season while Godefroi started 30 games, hitting .274, and pitched in five games for the Blue & Gray.

Sean Lamont (Houston, Texas/Bellaire) is playing with the Glens Falls Golden Eagles of the New York Collegiate Baseball League. The Golden Eagles are leading the East Division of the 14-team league with Lamont starting at third base. Lamont led Georgetown this season in runs, home runs, RBI's and total bases and finished sixth in the BIG EAST in round-trippers with 14 and 15th in RBI's with 50. The NYCBL is a part of the National Alliance of Summer Baseball which also oversees the famous Cape Cod Baseball League.

Tim Adleman (Raleigh, N.C./Wakefield) is playing with the Wilson Tobs of the Coastal Plain League, one of the fastest-growing collegiate leagues in the nation. Currently, the team is tied for first in the South of the three-division, 14-team league. Adleman has one win in four starts after leading the Hoyas in wins, innings pitched and strikeouts this past season. The right-hander also finished fifth in the BIG EAST in strikeouts with 66.
Coastal Plain League Information
Jared Cohen (Phoenixville, Pa./The Haverford School) is playing with the Rockville Express of the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League. The Express find themselves in the middle of the eight-team league and play their home games at Knights Field in Rockville, Maryland. Cohen made 13 appearances for the Hoyas this season and started once, accumulating 24.1 innings pitched. He also finished tied for the team lead in saves in his first full season with GU.
Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League Information
Kevin Johnson (Peabody, Mass./Belmont Hill) is playing with the Wakefield Merchants of the Boston Intercity Baseball League. He is currently starting for the Merchants and leading the team in walks. This past season for Georgetown, Johnson appeared in 10 games.
Boston Intercity Baseball League Information
Andy Lentz (Farmington Hills, Mich./Brother Rice) is playing with the Michigan Bulls of the Livonia Michigan Collegiate League. This past season he hit .267 and finished second in doubles, third in steals and fourth in runs scored
